Synergy to host '4 Ts to Empower Health' starting March 7, 2010
CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA, Feb. 15, 2010 -- Synergy will host a 4-session series called “4 Ts to Empower Health” starting Sunday, March 7, 2010, 1 – 2:30 p.m. at our clinic in Chesapeake. This holistic care series will be conducted by R. Dawn Bennett, LCSW, and Lyn Poppie, R.N., who will teach:
TILT
Did I get tilted off balance with distorted information from my 5 senses and my brain/body connection?
TWIST
Did I get uncomfortable, twisted or stressed and eventually dis-eased from maladaptive function?
TAME
Can I tame my feelings and refocus my distorted perceptions in order to heal my dis-ease?
TOTAL
Can I total up all my new ideas and practice to form a new body awareness and function for improved health?
The holistic care series will include hand-outs and will explore personal experiences to help you develop an understanding of the best in Eastern and Western techniques. Dawn and Lyn have done extensive training in the mind, body and spirit awareness as featured in “Body-talk,” hypnotherapy, neurobiology, and more.
The cost for all four sessions is $80 and must be paid in advance. Drop-ins are welcome (if space available) for $25 per session.

Dawn Bennett, LCSW, has more than 30 years of experience in various fields of clinical practice including company consulting, family and individual consulting, and inpatient psychotherapy. Since 1995 she has successfully focused her health care around holistic approaches. Dawn believes that true well-being is achieved when patients understand and practice the connections between mind, body and spirit.
Lyn Poppie, as both a Registered Nurse and a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner (consciousness-based health care), has training in Western and Eastern medical theory/practice. With experience in teaching as well as training in nutrition and healthy lifestyles, Lyn loves nothing more than to help create understanding and integration of one’s own body/mind/spirit for personal growth and vibrant health.
